How fast should you pitch by your freshman year of high school?

The speed of a pitcher at the high school level can vary depending on the individual's skill level, physical development, and training. Here are some general guidelines for pitching speeds for freshman pitchers:

- Fastball: 70-75 miles per hour (mph)

- Changeup: 60-65 mph

- Curveball: 65-70 mph

- Slider: 65-70 mph

It's important to note that these are just general guidelines, and some pitchers may throw faster or slower than these speeds. As a freshman, it is more important to focus on developing good mechanics, command, and control of your pitches, rather than solely focusing on speed.
