What English king tried to remove Latin words from the language?

King Henry II tried to reduce the use of Latin in official documents and legal proceedings. While he didn't exactly try to remove Latin words from the *language* itself (a largely impossible task), he did push for greater use of English, and this indirectly lessened Latin's dominance in administration.
