Type "Bibliography " or "Work Cited" at the top center of a new, separate page at the end of your paper. Double-space all entries without skipping lines between citations.
List all citations alphabetically by author's last name. Alphabetize by title if there is no known author.
Locate the author's name on the title page of each source. Write the last name first and follow with a comma, then write the first name and follow with a period. Some articles and websites may have more than one author. Just add a comma after the name of each author and write "and" between the last two.
Write the title of the book you used in italics, followed by a period.
Use quotation marks for articles and put a period inside the quotation marks. Write the name of the newspaper or magazine that published the article in italics. Make sure you include a page or volume number and the date when the article was published.
Add the name of the city where the book was published, followed by a colon. Also, write the publisher's name, followed by a comma. Then, add the date when the book was published, followed by a period. You can find the publisher's information on the page opposite the title page.
Write the address of any websites you use for information. You must also include the date you visited the website.
Add the page number for your bibliography page when you do the final formatting by adding page numbers to your entire research paper.
