What time of day would roman children finish school?

Roman children didn't attend school in the same way we do today. There wasn't a standardized school day with set start and finish times. Education depended heavily on social class and the individual's circumstances.

Wealthy boys might have private tutors who would work with them throughout the day, with breaks for meals and other activities. There wasn't a fixed "school's out" time. Poorer children, if they received any formal education at all, might have attended more informal classes or workshops with less structured schedules.

Therefore, there's no single answer to what time Roman children "finished school."
