Flexibility

Flexibility is a physical fitness component that measures the range of motion of a joint or group of joints. It has two major components:

- Joint Mobility or the range of motion of the joint (ROM). This is the maximum distance a body segment can move through its entire excursion of movement in a given plane.

- Muscle Elasticity, which is the ability of the muscle to resist stretching and recoil back to its original position.
