Review the School Board of Elementary and Secondary Education application for beginning a home education program in Louisiana. The application details important elements of your homeschooling program and its relationship to the state. Submit a copy of your child's birth certificate. This is only required during the first year of your child's homeschooling education.
Complete the application and mail it to the address listed. Your home school will not be authorized until you receive an approval notice from the school board. You must send in your application within 15 days from beginning your homeschooling program.
