Science & Biology Games

If you are looking for an exciting way to supplement your student's biology curriculum, you can add a few science games and activities that are based on the biology lessons you are teaching. This will encourage your students to take an active role in learning about their science lessons.
  1. Biology Jeopardy

    • You can conduct a mock jeopardy game using biology as the theme. Organize your students into two groups. Create cards that ask answers related to different areas of biology, such as plant life, animal types, animal behavior, the environment and symbiosis. Give each group a bell. You state an answer to the entire class. When a student rings the bell, that group can take a turn guessing the logical question that would be answered by your provided card. The group with the highest score at the end of class wins.

    Biology Pictionary

    • If you have visual learners in your classroom, they may benefit from a round of biology pictionary. Create cards that each contain a word related to biology, such as cell division, evolution or skeletal system. Each student can draw a card, then take turns drawing their word or phase in the form of a picture. The other students will have to guess what the word or phrase is based on the picture that is drawn.

    Biology Charades

    • Playing biology charades can help kinesthetic learners by acting out different words or phrases related to biology. Create cards with biology topics or words, and allow each student to select a card. Each student will take turn acting out the biology word or phrase while the rest of the students try to guess what the word or phrase is.
