Write a final paragraph expressing your thanks to the employer for his or her time and consideration. Reiterate your interest in the position and why you are a good candidate for it. State that you will follow up with the employer at a certain time. You might write, "Thank you for your time and consideration. I am excited to join the team of ABC, Inc. as an orderly and efficient administrative assistant. I will follow up with you by phone within two weeks to discuss the possibility of an interview." Include your contact information in the final paragraph so the employer easily can get in touch with you for an interview.
Close your letter with a professional closing phrase, such as "Sincerely" or "Best regards." Follow the phrase with a comma. Leave two or three lines for your handwritten signature. Type your first and last name below the space for your handwritten signature.
Write, "Enclosures: (Resume, Transcripts, Letters of Reference, etc.)" to indicate that you are attaching other information to your cover letter.
