Kentucky and Tennessee Airports

Kentucky and Tennessee both have numerous airports. Memphis, Nashville and Louisville are just three of the major runways that carry voluminous amounts of traffic daily. If you want to find a Kentucky or Tennessee airport, you can start a search either online or by calling a local travel agent.
  1. Louisville International Airport

    • Originally named Standiford Field, Louisville International Airport (LIA) has undergone some dramatic changes since the first stretch of runway was built more than 65 years ago. It now sends and receives travelers worldwide. LIA is centrally located between routes 264 and 65 near the Iroquois Park and is set near the Kentucky Exposition Center. A nationally recognized facility, LIA once received the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Mark of Distinction Award.

    Memphis International Airport

    • Serving millions of passengers every year, Memphis International Airport features shopping, restaurants and such amenities as a barbershop, a currency exchange office, a post office and shoeshine stations throughout. Memphis, affectionately nicknamed the "River City," is approximately 16 minutes north of the airport, while the famed Graceland is less than 10 minutes away.

    Nashville International Airport

    • Nashville International Airport is just minutes from the heart of Nashville, Tennessee, situated between three of the area's major highways: routes 24, 40 and 440. Less than 15 minutes away from the famous Grand Ole Opry House, Nashville International Airport has shops and restaurants, bars and bookstores, and even a toy store for the kids.

    Blue Grass Airport

    • Only minutes from the famed Mary Todd Lincoln House, the Blue Grass Airport in Lexington, Kentucky, is a small facility but is nationally recognized by the FAA. Funded by the United States Department of Transportation, the Blue Grass Airport received the Disadvantage Business Enterprise Advocate Award in 2009, which is a grant given by both the FAA and the U.S. Department of Transportation in the effort to equalize competition between large and small airports.
