    • The Hospitality and Tourism program at Edmonds Community College offers a one-year certificate and a two-year associate of technical arts degree in event planning. The college's two-year associate degrees in hospitality and tourism, technical arts, administrative management and hospitality management offer graduates the chance to transfer to four-year colleges to pursue a bachelor degree. These colleges include Johnson & Wales University, Evergreen State College, Central Washington University-Lynnwood and Seattle Pacific University.

    Everett Community College

    • For those interested mainly in wedding planning, Everett Community College offers several wedding and event planner classes, two of them based on the Preston Bailey Signature Wedding and Event Design course. Students are trained to become event designers who tailor each event to suit the client's aesthetic preferences. Bailey's four books on wedding design are included in the cost of tuition. Some of the course work takes place online.

    • There are many online event planning study programs. Strayer University offers an MBA and a bachelor's in hospitality and tourism. DeVry University offers bachelor degrees in hospitality management, as does South University online, which also offers an associate degree. The Art Institute of Pittsburgh offers online bachelor's degrees in hotel and restaurant management and culinary management. Le Cordon Bleu offers an online bachelor's in its culinary management program as well as an associate's in hospitality and restaurant management.
