Flight Schools in Eugene,Oregon

Learning to fly requires FAA-approved instruction in ground school and in the air. There is no age restriction; however, to solo you must be 16 and to get a pilot's license you must be at least 17 years old. Everyone who enters flight school needs a medical examination, with the exception of those training for a sport-pilot's license. While the FAA requires 40 hours of in-flight training, private pilots will need between 50 to 70 hours of flying time before testing with an FAA examiner for their license. Eugene, Oregon has several flight schools offering training from sport-pilot to helicopter licensing.
