Learning2Drive of Swindon offers Intensive driving courses. Within five days, students learn both theory and driving skills and are ready to drive by themselves. Courses are held in Swindon, Newbury or Chippenham. Generally, the classes are one-on-one, but up to three students can be trained together. Groups of students must arrange the course directly with Learning2Drive (Reference 2).
Several courses are available for individuals of different skill sets. Learning2Drive offers courses for the complete beginner as well as failed driving test candidates who are coming to the school for another try. Beginning students take the TYRO course, which includes a total of 45 hours of driving skills lesson and practice. Refreshment/toilet breaks are taken every two hours during the training period. Failed test students take a 12-hour course in which common driving mistakes are identified and corrected.
Students all over the UK travel to Learning2Drive for their intensive lessons and therefore may need to find lodging for the week of the course. Accommodation costs are not included in the course cost. Nearby guest houses, including the Stratton Lodge and the Fir Tree Lodge, are available to students from out of town.
Intensive driving courses are an investment, ranging from $1,150 for a 45-hour course to $585 for a 12-hour course at press time. To keep costs reasonable, consider asking friends to join you for the course. Shared tuition can make the entire course more affordable.
