How to Repair Eye Lash Extensions From a Salon

Eyelash extensions transform you from ordinary to glamorous by giving your eyes a dramatic look. Eyelash extensions may fall off with natural eyelashes, or lose bonding because of external factors such as heat, or contact with oil-based products. Careless handling of eyelash extensions can harm your eyes; ask a friend or relative to help with repairing.

Instructions

    • 1

Examine the eyelashes carefully, separate them with tweezers, and identify the lashes to repair.

    • 2

Steam the face for 3 minutes to soften the bond on the eyelashes. Do not exceed the time to prevent the bond of the undamaged lashes from softening too much.

    • 3

Dip a cotton ball in olive oil; lightly squeeze out excess.

    • 4

Rub the damaged eyelashes with the cotton ball, avoiding the undamaged lashes. The olive oil will dissolve the bonding glue making it easy to pull off the extensions

    • 5

Leave the olive oil on the lashes for a few minutes, then gently pull them out. Check for remaining lashes for damage and pull them out.

    • 6

Separate the lashes again, apply cyanoacrylate adhesive on natural eyelashes, and attach new extension eyelashes. Apply an eyelash sealant to finish the repair.

    • 7

Avoid steam or hot water on your face for 24 hrs. Keep away from makeup and allow the adhesive to set.
