Cut a piece of 1/2-inch block board wood to measure 5-by-5 inches and drill four shallow holes ¼ inch deep and ½ inch from each corner using a thin drill. Mix glue and sawdust in a 2:1 ratio and insert the mixture into the four holes.
Cut two pieces of steel wire to 15 inches each and bend each from the middle ensuring that the bent part remains curved. Insert one point of the wire into a hole and the next point at the diagonal corner. Repeat the same procedure for the remaining wire and put a little pressure on top of the wire intersection using your palm to press it in until it adheres.
Tie a thin aluminum wire at the wire intersection to bind them firmly using a pair of pliers. Spread white polyester netting measuring 2½-by-2½ feet over the cage, pulling it tight and holding it down under the block board. Pin the polyester netting under the block board using a hammer and ½-inch nails.
Cut a piece of the polyester netting measuring 4 inches in length and join the width so as to make a 3-inch diameter tube. Sew the joined edge using a needle and thread and ensure the sewing is closely knitted and both ends are open. This is for covering the entrance.
Cut a round hole 3 inches in diameter on one side of the net using a razor blade and attach the tube of net to the edge of the hole by sewing a closely knitted seam around it to create an extended entrance. The extended entrance is for inserting the insect in the tent. It is tied to enclose the insect inside or opened to feed or remove the insect or to clean the cage.
