How to Use YouTube in the Classroom

When educating students in your class, you may find that you need to create unorthodox methods of teaching in order to teach them about a variety of different subjects. One of the methods you can use for education is YouTube. This website allows you to access a variety of different videos to watch. Many of these videos explore a variety of different educational topics. However, to ensure the video is appropriate for your class, watch it yourself before showing it to your students.

  Navigate to the YouTube homepage. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the heading named "Education."

  Click on the "All Categories" drop-down menu and select the subject you would like an educational video on.

  Scroll through the list and select a specific topic within the subject you have chosen. For example, if you have selected math, the topic you may wish to focus on could be calculus.

  Look through the different videos available on the topic and select one that is right for you and your class. Watch the video yourself before showing it to your students.
