Children’s painted fingerprints on different crafts make for more personalized auction items. The teacher or parent in charge collects the items to decorate -- for example, plain white vases, frames, aprons or a framed plain canvas -- and guides the students in putting their fingerprints on the items. The teacher can further personalize the item by writing the children’s names below each child’s fingerprints or ask older students to help write the names.
Collect plain tiles for the students, distribute the tiles and choose a theme for the students to paint. The teachers and parents should guide the students to explore their creativity and create personalized art pieces. Collect the tiles and create mosaic tile pieces or glue them on a table to create a one-of-a-kind tabletop. You can sell the tiles as individual art pieces.
Select talented students, provide them with canvas, watercolors and acrylic paints and have the art teacher guide them in making pieces for the auction. Choose a theme for the paintings and help the students find inspiration from within the school and around the school environment. Enlist the help of parents to support students in their paintings and the framing of their pictures.
Provide students with plain doormats and ask them to paint welcome messages and pictures. For younger students, ask the teacher or parent in charge to assist with the paintings. Personalize the doormats by asking the younger students to dip their feet in paint and imprint the footsteps on the doormats. Provide students with paint and allow them to get creative with the doormats.
