Amongst many other functions, those who purchase Microsoft Office products get free access to user tools that help them enhance their software and online experiences, and get the most use out of them. They also provide paid training for certification classes through TechNet Plus for those who may be interested in getting certified in any of their systems or processes.
Microsoft IT Academy has a special no-cost online learning system for students. It provides 12-22 hours of free e-learning courses to high school and college students interested in extending their technical skills with Microsoft technologies. The topics, such as Robotics Developer, Visual Studio, SQL Server, Game Studio and Virtual PC to name a few, are geared toward helping students get a head start on passing the MS certification exams. They also offer free courses called "Learning Snacks" in Core, Silverlight, and Web 2.0, as well as a limited number of free downloadable e-Books through Microsoft Press.
