Online domestic violence training covers similar material to that found in traditional classroom settings. Samples of topics include risks, dealing with victims, culture and domestic violence, stalking and domestic violence treatment.
Class time frames may vary in length from just a few minutes to a college course lasting a semester. A typical online domestic violence training program, such as that offered by the American Probation and Parole Association, takes about eight hours--not including testing.
Costs for courses may vary widely, depending, in part, on if the class qualifies for college credit. The Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence provides online training for professionals for prices between $25 and $50 per class.
