How to Increase Reading Vocabulary

Whether you are helping your children learn to read, improving your own reading skills or simply learning a new language, knowing how to increase reading vocabulary can be extremely important. Merely reading a lot is not sufficient, because you will tend to skip words you are unfamiliar with and just guess at the general meaning of the sentence. You need to make an effort to check every unknown word in a dictionary and take steps to remember its meaning in the long term.
