Why Do We Need Solar Energy?

U.S. oil production reached its peak in 1970s, which means that since then oil production in the United States is on a decline. Based on scientist Marion King Hubbert's findings about oil production, the global oil production peak is expected to occur within the first two decades of the 21st century. Once the worldwide oil production peak is reached, a rapid decline in production and increase in world energy consumption will make oil prices skyrocket. And eventually we will run out of oil. Therefore, there is an urgent need of investing in other sources of energy.
  1. Renewable Source of Energy

    • Solar panels can be made to turn automatically to face sun at all times.

Solar energy is one of the few renewable sources of energy. Renewable sources of energy like wind, water, solar and geothermal are naturally replenished. Therefore there is no threat of running out of such fuel in the near future.

    Clean Energy

    • Along with useable energy production, fossil fuels like oil and coal produce byproducts such as greenhouse gases, pollution and other carbon compounds. These byproducts have proven extremely harmful to the environment and the health of human beings.

Solar power uses photovoltaic cells to collect heat and light from the sun and convert it to electricity. The photovoltaic cells do not produce greenhouse gases and other harmful byproducts.

    Inexpensive Means of Energy Production

    • Solar energy is largely inflation free, which means that once infrastructural advancement is complete the energy production is free of any price rise in future.
