The 1992 Toyota Celica: Performance

Toyota first introduced the Celica line of vehicles to the market in 1971. In 1992, Toyota manufactured several different models of the Celica including the ST coupe, GT coupe, GT liftback, GT-S liftback, GT convertible and the All-Trac Turbo.
  1. Horsepower

    • 1992 Celicas that have been fitted with a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine offer 103 horsepower at 5,500 rotations per minute (rpm). Celicas with a 2.2-liter, four-cylinder engine offer 135 horsepower at 5,200 rpm. Models that feature a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine can produce 200 horsepower at 7,400 rpm.

    Torque

    • Toyota's 1992 Celica models offer different torque outputs, depending on the engine they have been fitted with. 103-horsepower models offer 106 foot-pounds of torque at 4,000 rpm. 135-horsepower models offer 142 foot-pounds torque at 4,400 rpm and 200-horsepower models offer 142 foot-pounds torque at 6,000 rpm.

    Fuel Consumption

    • 2.0-liter 1992 Toyota Celica models were rated at 19 mpg city fuel economy and 24 mpg fuel economy on the highway. 1.6-liter models offer between 24 and 25 mpg city and between 31 and 32 mpg highway. Models that have been fitted with the 2.2-liter engine offer between 21 and 22 mpg in the city and between 28 and 29 mpg on the highway.
