This online defensive driving course, approved by the state of Alabama, teaches students the state's driving laws and also how to drive safely and defensively. If you have a traffic citation and the court orders you to take a driving safety course, this $30 (as of 2011) e-course may be acceptable in place of a traditional classroom course. The online lessons are flexible, and students have access to a 24-hour support system that allows them to talk live to support staff, who can answer their questions.
Training Associates Inc. has several locations in Alabama, and their driver's safety courses are court approved. Students receive workbooks, so they can refer to the course material whenever they need it in the future. TAI offers defensive driving lessons in four-, six- and eight-hour programs. Drivers who complete the classes successfully receive a certificate. Those attending this course because of traffic citations should keep in mind that unless a judge orders you to take the course, the courts will not honor the defensive driving certificate.
You can complete this online defensive driving course if a court orders you to take a driving safety course to dismiss or reduce the fine of a traffic violation. Students can sign up online and will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the course.
