Porter Cable Laminate Slitter Guide

Laminate slitters cut into or slice through laminate materials. Porter Cable manufactures a number of power tools, including a full line of laminate cutters. Current Porter Cable laminate cutter models include the 7310, 7312 and 7319.
  1. Applications

    • The 7310 is ideal for hinge routing and small edge-trimming applications. Porter Cable's 7312 laminate cutter offers features that make it good for backsplash trimming. Model 7319 cutters make angled cuts.

    Base

    • The base on the 7310 model is a rectangular, fixed base that measures 3 by 3/8 by 3 by 5/8 inches. The base on the 7312 model is offset, triangular in shape and measures 6 by 5 inches. The 7319 model features a tilting base that tilts 45 degrees in one direction and 30 degrees in the opposite direction. This base is rectangular and measures 3 by 1/8 by 3 /8 inches.

    Dimensions

    • The 7310 and 7319 laminate cutter models are designed to similar overall dimensions. The 7310 cutter is 3.75 by 4 by 7.5 inches and the 7319 is 3.75 by 4 by 7.75 inches. The 7312 model measures 9.75 by 9.25 by 8.25 inches.

    Other Information

    • These three laminate cutter models offer a 5.6-amp voltage and spin at a rate of 30,000 rotations per minute. The motors within these three models are 2-3/4 inches in diameter. Porter Cable model 7310 laminate cutters ship at a weight of 5 pounds while 7312 models ship at 6.25 pounds and 7319 models ship at 5.25 pounds.
