To become a human embryologist, you'll typically need at least a
master's degree, and increasingly, a
doctoral degree (PhD) is preferred, especially for research positions. A bachelor's degree in biology, cell biology, or a related field is the foundation, but it's not sufficient on its own for most embryology positions.
The specifics can vary based on the country and the type of embryology work (research vs. clinical). Clinical embryologists (those working in fertility clinics, for example) often require additional certifications and licensing.
