Should you end a sentence using the word myself?

In formal writing, avoid ending a sentence with the pronoun myself. Instead, use I or me.

- Wrong: They didn't invite myself to the party.

- Right: They didn't invite me to the party.

- Wrong: I painted the kitchen by myself.

- Right: I painted the kitchen myself.
