Caligari Corp., founded in 1986, produces and develops tools for 3-D animation and modeling. Caligari's flagship program, trueSpace, attracted customers from diverse industries such as engineering, entertainment and biomedicine and also gained the attention of Microsoft. In 2008, Microsoft acquired Caligari, leading to the release of trueSpace 7.6 free of charge. The 2009 release of trueSpace 7.61 included an updated version of the Rosetta architecture, the code that trueSpace accesses to render the 3-D models.       Download the trueSpace 7.61 release (see References).

      Run the trueSpace 7.61 installer. Follow the installation wizard to select the installation options and locations of your preference.

      Run trueSpace after the installer finishes. Select "Library Browser" and open "Objects -- tS7.61 Update Objects Library." Load the RosettaBeta 7.61 Update Script from the object library.

      Open RosettaBeta 7.61 then select "Reset the Default Context." You can now create and edit files in trueSpace using the updated Rosetta Beta 7.61 build.
