The Missouri Welding Institute is a certified training school that offers several viable training options. The school is located in the town of Nevada, about 90 miles south of Kansas City, Missouri. Students can take a Master Pipe Welding and Fitting course, a 720-hour training course that lasts 18 weeks. Students can also take the Master Structural Welding and Fitting course, a 440-hour course that takes 11 weeks. Or students can take a Customized Welding and Fitting Course that lasts 40 to 400 hours, or one to 10 weeks.

Vatterott College, an accredited vocational school with several campuses, offers a Combination Welding diploma at the NorthPark campus, located in Berkeley, a suburb of St. Louis. Students earn the diploma after completing a 60-week course, which includes theory and lab work, according to the course catalog. Students can also earn an Associate of Occupational Studies degree in Combination Welding Technology. The associate degree takes 90 weeks and includes additional welding courses and classes in general studies.
