Interskill offers pre-training and post-training skills assessment to the mainframe workforce. It is offered to people before they want to initiate their mainframe training to establish what type of course would be necessary for them to take. The questions are divided into core and pool questions, the former being of more importance than the latter and therefore, always included in the assessment. The assessment takes approximately 45 to 75 minutes.
Since each organization has different needs, the learning plan for each organization is unique. The emphasis is always on the maximum use of time and highest achievement. The course customization is also important as it enables the mainframe staff to learn skills that are particular to their role in the company and the operational systems in place.
The course curriculum also depends on the need of the company. The curriculum ranges from IBM Environment Curriculum or z/OS curriculum through LINUX, REXX or SOA Curriculum to Security or Database Curriculum. It can be created anew for each organization, which enables cross-training on a variety of skills. Through the implementation of interactive ways of learning such as mainframe simulations, diagrams and puzzles, the mainframe workforce learns more effectively.
