How to Teach English in Houston

For new immigrants, learning the English language remains one of the most important and daunting tasks they'll engage in. An ESL, or English as a Second Language, teacher creates a supportive environment that enables the student to learn a brand new language. In order for you to become an ESL teacher, you must obtain a master's degree in ESL, or similar subject. High school English teachers also need a college degree, preferably in education, and college instructors must have at least a master's degree, if not a doctorate, in English.
