Midwife Home Learning Courses

The practice of midwifery has been in existence for thousands of years with practitioners assisting in childbirth. In North America, midwives were replaced by physicians as early as the 1900s. But by the 1960s, midwives made a comeback as more women expressed an interest in home and natural childbirth. Individuals interested in learning more about midwifery are able to participate in home study courses offered by schools across the United States.
