When was UCAS created?

UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) was established on 1 October 1961 by the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals (CVCP) and the Association of Teachers in Colleges and Departments of Education (ATCDE) in response to the Robbins Report.
