What was the first Nebraska College?

The first college in Nebraska is generally considered to be Nebraska Wesleyan University, founded in 1887. While other institutions existed earlier, they were either academies or seminaries that later developed into colleges or were absorbed into other institutions. Nebraska Wesleyan holds the distinction of being the first institution to offer a full college curriculum from its inception.
