How many years are greek students in school for?

The length of time Greek students spend in school varies depending on the level of education:

* Primary Education: 6 years (ages 6-12)

* Gymnasium (Secondary Education): 3 years (ages 12-15)

* Lyceum (Upper Secondary Education): 3 years (ages 15-18)

Therefore, to complete the entire compulsory education system, Greek students spend a total of 12 years in school. This doesn't include higher education (university).
