Think about what you would like to include on your poster. Consider events, field trips, awards, sports and extra-curricular activities. Your poster should highlight the most memorable and important things that took place during the school year.
Gather your supplies to make the end of school year poster. You will need supplies such as poster boards, scissors, glue, markers, pens, magazines, newspaper clippings and photos. Be sure to purchase several boards, in case you want to make more than one or make a major mistake and need to start all over.
Get an idea of how you want to arrange things on your poster. You can show events in chronological order, or organize it any other way you like.
Clip pictures from magazines that show the activities you participated in at school. For example, if you played football, include pictures of football players or football equipment. Or, if you played in the band, include a photo of the instrument that you played.
Make a photocopy of any awards that you received and include them on the poster. For example, you might choose to include a copy of your honor roll or honor society certificate.
Include pictures of your friends as well as special places that you went during the school year, such as class camping or skiing trips.
Decorate your poster to show your personality and things that you like to do. For example, if you write poetry, include one of your poems on the poster. If you like to draw, include one of your drawings from the school year.
Use markers to brighten up your poster. Be sure to use your favorite colors, or choose to display your school's colors on your poster instead.
