Full Sail University is an academic institution that specializes in film, design, production, games and web design. It has campuses in Florida and has some online courses. A student who has maintained satisfactory academic performance may be granted a month leave of absence. The written request is sent to a Student Advisor who will approve or deny the request. A leave of absence is only allowed one time per calendar year. The length of a leave of absence can be approved for 90 days or longer depending on the circumstances.

Determine the month and dates of your break. The University requires the specific dates that will be taken.

Create a letter containing the reasons for the month leave, date it will start and the date it will end.

Send the signed letter to your Student Advisor. The Student Advisor will approve or deny the request prior to the start of the month leave.
