Review your college's meal plan cancellation time frame. Many colleges only let students cancel within a set time frame. The time frame can be as short as two weeks from the start of the new semester. Students canceling during this time frame are issued a refund per the college's accounting office refund schedule.
Complete and submit the necessary meal plan cancellation forms and submit them by the specified time. If the policy requires you to cancel your plan in person, present your college identification card to assist with finding your meal plan account.
Contact the accounting office to verify the cancellation and get a date of when the meal plan money will be credited to your account.
