Find out the reason why you have been expelled. Check out the guidelines of the school regarding their conditions for expelling students and determine whether you have been rightfully dismissed.
Determine how you can be accepted back into college. Some schools have guidelines on what students should do. If there are no guidelines, try to talk to the secretary of your college administration or anyone in charge of student affairs. Explain your situation and ask about what you should do to be accepted back to your school. Most of the time, you will be required to write a letter of appeal.
Write your letter of appeal. Address the letter to the person in charge of handling your situation. Begin the letter by stating that you want to be readmitted. Follow by stating the reasons why you were expelled, whether academic or disciplinary. Mention any medical or personal reason that may have affected your performance in school. End the letter by assuring that you will do all you can to improve your performance in school.
Submit the letter. Submit any documents to support any statements you made in your letter. If you were hospitalized for any length of time and suffered academically as a result, then submit a letter from the hospital. If you were not able to perform due to depression, but received counseling, submit a letter from your counselor.
Wait for a reply from the school administration. Ask how long the process of reviewing appeals usually takes. Try following up after a few days.
Sign any documents given to you by the school upon being accepted back. The administration may give certain conditions for readmitted students. These conditions may include finishing a minimum number of units in a single semester, getting a grade above the minimum required or simply having no failed or incomplete subjects.
Get clearance to enroll from your school administration before enrolling for the next semester.
