Find the author's name. This is often below the title of the article or near the bottom of the page in the footer.
Locate the date of the Web page. Sometimes you are only provided with a copyright year, but some websites provide complete dates for their articles. If there is no date, you can use "(n.d.)."
Copy the title of the Web page. This is usually the title of the article, but if there is no specific article, you can use the title of the Web page as it appears in your Internet browser's title bar.
Copy the complete Web address of the website.
Compile these pieces of data into the following format:
Author, A. (Date). Website title. Retrieved from http://[webaddress].
For example:
Smith, Joe. (5 June 2010). Example Website. Retrieved from http://www.example.com/example.html.
