Select an appropriate topic for your proposal. Consider the nature of the assignment given to you by your instructor or boss and be sure to follow any guidelines given to you.
Write down anything that comes to mind when you think about the topic, without censoring yourself. Good ideas can be missed if you are too busy trying to get it perfect the first time around.

Proofread your proposal to ensure it explains your project as clearly and concisely as possible.
Run your proposal through a spell check.
Print your proposal on white 8 1/2-by-11-inch paper.
