Write the introduction section. In clear language, describe the background of the topic and its current research state using references from peer-reviewed articles from quality research and scientific journals. Define what needs to be done and what questions remain to be answered. If you are preparing the proposal for a new type of process, describe what this process is and how it is different from other processes that currently exist.
Write a section on the scientific issue you are discussing. Clearly state the problem you want to solve in one or two sentences. Then, describe it in detail using proper references. Move on to explaining why this research and development will be significant for the scientific or industrial sector. Enhance your arguments by using numbers and statistics.
Write the research methodology section. This is where you should provide details of how you will proceed with your research.
Write the requirements sections. Clearly define the resources you will need in an itemized list with explanations. Provide realistic figures of the money you will be needing to purchase equipment, hire personnel or other project-related expenditures.
Write the timeline section. It is always a good idea to provide a Gantt chart in this section defining the timelines of different milestones.
Write the conclusions section. Here summarize what you have described in the earlier sections and outline what you want to accomplish from this research.
Attach your detailed curriculum vitae as an appendix to the project proposal.
