Plan your paper. Develop a structure and decide on a theme. This may depend on the subject area you are studying. Decide between outlining, grouping or listing your points. You can combine these approaches. Plan to include a broader perspective on your subject. You could decide to give a classical view on goodness or a religious perspective. All religions include a strong set of views on human goodness. You could include a section on this.
Include anecdotes on goodness in your plan. Illustrate your point, for instance, by giving an example of a person in a war zone putting his own life on the line to help others survive. Discuss the links between goodness and other favorable attributes, such as bravery and kindness. Write a clear introduction to your paper, when your plan is complete.
Develop your theme in the body of the paper. This is the stage to discuss deeper questions. Mention some of the points a person who does not believe in human goodness would make; for instance, that utopian societies always fail because of man's basic nature. Counter these points with opposing arguments of your own. Draw your points together at the end of your paper.
