What is profgrad immm?

The PROFGAD IMM (IMSS Profgrad)

The IMSS Profgrad or IMSS Postgraduate Programs , are part of the IMSS Training School, which seeks to train, update and develop the knowledge of the institution's health human resources, through highly specialized courses and postgraduate degrees, in order to increase the quality of care and meet the needs of the beneficiaries.

There are 5 types of Profgrad IMMS:

- Specialty courses: These courses are designed for doctors who want to specialize in a particular area of medicine. They typically last for two to three years.

- Postgraduate degrees: These degrees are designed for doctors who want to pursue a higher level of education in a particular area of medicine. They typically last for three to four years.

- Continuous medical education courses: These courses are designed for doctors who want to keep up-to-date on the latest developments in their field. They typically last for a few days or weeks.

- Clinical research courses: These courses are designed for doctors who want to learn how to conduct clinical research. They typically last for a few months.

- Health management courses: These courses are designed for doctors who want to learn how to manage healthcare organizations. They typically last for a few months.

The PROFGAD IMM (IMSS Profgrad) has the following objectives:

- Offer continuous education and development, training and specialization courses focused on health science and professionalization of health personnel within the IMSS, which contribute to the improvement of the quality and warmth in the hospital care of our users and the population that attends.

- To train highly qualified professionals in accordance with the health needs of the country, the institutional development plans and the professional profiles required for the attention and care of the right holders of the IMSS.

- Encourage research, innovation and development in the training processes, in order to contribute to the generation of knowledge in health science and improve the quality of training to the benefit of the users of the IMSS Health Services and the country.

- To implement strategies that allow the effective and efficient use of resources to maintain the sustainability and growth of the educational offer, as well as the quality of the teaching and hospital services provided by the institution.
