RSM Safety Institute

• The RSM Safety Institute is a trade school established by RSM Mining Services in Labrador. The institute is recognized and accredited by the Newfoundland and Labrador government as a mining school. Courses at the institute teach mining theory and practical applications. Other courses include subjects such as blasting, road construction, ore haulage and clearing snow. Most students who attend the RSM Safety Institute get hired by RSM Mining Services, though some students go to work for other top Canadian mining companies.

• The Academy Canada Trades College is located in the city of St. John's. The college is the largest of its kind in Newfoundland and has been offering career-based training courses since 1985.
