The program's initial focus is on basic science and clinical instruction, and will conclude with monthly rotations in the various areas of anesthesiology, including burns and trauma, general surgery, ambulatory surgery, and obstetrics to name just a few.

• Emory University, located in Atlanta, Georgia, offers a 27-month graduate program for anesthesiology assistants. Students will experience clinical studies integrated with lab work. Students will also learn to clinically administer all forms of anesthesia, except for regional anesthesia. Students can choose from two tracks: the general admissions track and the PA admissions track. The general admissions track is geared toward those who have bachelor degrees and have completed basic premed courses. The PA admissions track is for certified primary care physician assistants.
