How many schools and universities are there in the Philippines?

According to the Department of Education (DepEd), there are more than 41,000 schools in the Philippines as of 2023. This includes both public and private schools from kindergarten to senior high school level. On the other hand, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) reports that there are over 2,200 higher education institutions or schools that offer tertiary education, including colleges, universities, and vocational schools.
