The University of Central Lancashire's master's program in international applied communication addresses the worldwide issues that face the communications industry. Students receive a double master's degree (MSc and MA degrees) when they graduate and receive a global education by studying in two different countries. The first part of the coursework is completed at either the Hogeschool Utrecht University in the Netherlands or at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia. Students then return to Lancashire to complete their studies. Students are trained for management positions with large multinational organizations and government entities as well as careers in public relations. In addition to the two semesters of classroom work, a dissertation is part of the curriculum. Areas of focus include digital communication, public affairs, lobbying and fundraising. All instruction is done in English. The MSc comes from the University of Central Lancashire and the MA from Hogeschool Utrecht.
