To prepare for the test and to improve your English language skills, find a native English speaker who is learning your language and do language exchange. This would be relatively easy to do in a university setting. For example, if you are a Japanese student in the United States, seek an American student who is studying Japanese and become language partners. You can speak for half of the time in Japanese and half of the time in English, and then provide feedback to one another. You can assist each other with written language skills too.
Join a TOEFL study group if one exists where you area. If not, seek out of TOEFL students and study together. You can share your experiences and help each other prepare for the TOEFL exam.
