How to test esl in kentucky

The TOEFL iBT™ test assesses non-native English speakers' command and comprehension of the English language for university entrance purposes. (See References.) TOEFL has four sections: reading, listening, speaking and writing. (See References.) Two formats exist for the TOEFL test, an Internet-based Test (iBT), which most students take, and a Paper-based Test (PBT), which is usually limited to test centers which lack Internet access. (See References.) If a student lacks the funds for a TOEFL preparatory class or tutor, there are free TOEFL preparation alternatives which can be used in conjunction with test preparation materials.

Finding a language partner can provide both of you with a free tutor - and possibly a friend.

To prepare for the test and to improve your English language skills, find a native English speaker who is learning your language and do language exchange. This would be relatively easy to do in a university setting. For example, if you are a Japanese student in the United States, seek an American student who is studying Japanese and become language partners. You can speak for half of the time in Japanese and half of the time in English, and then provide feedback to one another. You can assist each other with written language skills too.
