What Documents Do You Need to Register for Bunker Hill Community College?

Paperwork is necessary in any institution. The Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) requires the student to bring certain forms and to fill out others before she is admitted. There are also two departments within the college that have additional requirements.
  1. General Information about BHCC

    • Bunker Hill Community College offers a combination of workforce and liberal arts education, preparing students for jobs immediately after graduation or transfer to a university. Studies include information technology, nursing, criminal justice, hospitality and culinary arts, early childhood development and business. All students must complete liberal arts, general education and program requirements from each discipline.

    Documents Required for General Enrollment

    • Each student must fill out an application for admission and submit it to the Admissions office along with a copy of his high school diploma, transcript with a graduation date or a General Education Development (GED) certificate. If the documents aren't in English, an official translation must accompany the documents. Those students claiming an entitlement to in-state tuition must submit an Application for Massachusetts In-State Tuition Rates form. This form may ask for additional documents.

    BHCC Allied Health Department

    • The BHCC Allied Health Department offers degrees or certificates in Patient Care Technician, Medical Assistant, Medical Interpreting, Phlebotomy Technician, Emergency Medical Technician and Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide. In addition to the documents required by the general BHCC admissions office, the student entering the Allied Health department must supply a birth certificate or Resident Alien card, passport (if applicable), Massachusetts Driver's License or Massachusetts ID and a proof of six month residency dated within a year of enrollment. The student must also complete an application form for the Allied Health department.

    Electric Power Utility Program

    • BHCC offers the Electric Power Utility Program (EPUT) in conjunction with NSTAR, the Massachusetts based electric and gas utility company and Local 369 of the Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA). The EPUT program trains the students in skills needed to work in the electric utility industry and includes classes in DC and AC circuitry theory, substation fundamentals, underground lines and construction, overhead lines and construction and power and distribution systems. A student in the EPUT program can earn an associate's degree in electronics with an EPUT certification. Students wishing to earn an EPUT degree have to submit all of the BHCC required documents plus the EPUT and NSTAR applications.
