Florida Requirements for High School & College

Students in grade nine choose from a traditional program of four years and 24 credits, a college preparatory program of three years and 18 credits, or a career preparatory program of three years and 18 credits. Admission requirements for Florida's colleges depend on the high school program or standardized test scores. All high school students are required to pass the Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test (FCAT), or an equivalent, such as the American College Test (ACT) or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
