Go to the FinAid website and click the "Calculators" link in the right column of the home page.
On the "Calculators" page, lick the "Dependency Status Form" link first if you are unsure of your dependency status. Answer all the questions by selecting "Yes" or "No" and press the "Submit" button to get your dependency status. Click the back browser button twice to return to the "Calculators" page.
Scroll down to the "Needs Analysis" section of the "Calculators" page and click the ""Expected Family Contribution (EFC) and Financial Aid" link.
Provide all the requested information following instructions carefully . Then click the "Calculate" button to get your results.
Scroll down on the "Expected Family Contribution (EFC) Calculator Results" page to the "Estimated School Costs" section to see your estimated Pell Grant. Review the "Suggestions" sections for ideas for how to fund the remaining school costs.
Go to the Student Aid on the Web website and click the FAFSA4caster link in the "Applying for Financial Aid" section.
Give all the requested information following instructions carefully. If you need help, use the "Help and Hints" on the right side of the page. Click the "Submit" button.
Provide the requested information about the college you plan to attend and click "Calculate." You will receive estimates for grants, scholarships and work-study programs.
